Well in some gains you will notice large improvements - Audiosurf is a classic example and in others you won't.

I've got 8600GT 1GB and i'd like to OC it would i just do the same and when do i know im pushing the limit's

oc it.. run some stability testing.... run some ATItool atifacts tests... then ur done.

if u cant get past one level without crashing.. then go back a little bit and run it again

80 degrees is decent full load temp for a g80 core i guess....
