I bought the 9600gt the other day and its arrived today.
I set it up in my older rig: amd 4200 x2 focxonn c51xem2aa 2gb gold ocz ram hard drives hyper 580 psu 7600gt x 2 I uninstalled the 7600 drivers and ran various reg cleaners etc switched it off, plugged in the 9600 and hey-presto it boots. I now install the drivers (181.22 from nvid site) and it screws up on boot up, everything installs fine its the boot after the restart that fails. I loads bios, windows startup but when the drivers are loaded it cops out and i'm given the "No signal" on my screen. I boot in safe mode, remove all nvidia drivers and boot to normal...fine. I now install drivers off the cd, this works and it boots after the restart but, everytime I try and changed my resolution to my screens native (1680 x 1050) and it cops out, also the screen looks very sharp/crisp and I can't seem to change that. I've jsut tried the drivers from xfx's site to no avail. Are there any more options to try or any solutions beside a total format as it would be like thte 10th time this month i'd have to do so (don't ask *face palm*) I just been able to get my native resolution by installing the xp drivers for this card without the nvida drivers...does that make sense? but anyway, where do I go from here? try and install the nvidia drivers ontop of this? I've now tried new nvid drivers and reinstalled vista. This is now my main rig the other is on its way out...so I kind of need this working

Ok, cuz mine had that problem, but after I used driver sweeper a couple of times, it went away! And that was with a 9600gt too. Oh yeah, my 9800gt's had some driver problems too, but after uninstalling and cleaning many times, and switching the cards around, they magically worked.
