well, from what I see, you have a CRT, right? and the colors went weird, which is what happened to my old CRT when it was dying, so I figured it was worth a shot, just to be sure

Right, I know.

Maybe some windows update that conflicts with drivers or maybe for some reason EVGA Prec Tool dont like the nvidia drivers. IDK! Quick question, for LCDs, is it better to use a VGA on one end and VGA on the other with a converter to DVI for GFX card OR use a VGA on one end (goes into monitor) and a DVI on the other end (no converter)?

I just noticed now that I have 4 "taskeng.exe" processes. I think it may be corrupt, seeing that TaskEng.exe has to do with start up process it may be the source to my problem.
__________________So how do I go about fixing this? EDIT: I think it may be AWC 3 Pro (Advanced System Care by IObit) fault. I uninstalled and it did not happen on the restart afterward, but it still may exist so im keeping my finger crossed. AWC had many tasks scheduled in Task Scheduler (part of TaskEng.exe). Well see :/ EDIT 2: Still happens. hhhhh. I don't get it. Also I still would not mind an answer to my monitor cable question.

I read on Guru3D forums of the current drivers of somebody having some problems (I did not see anybody referring to my weird color reverting specifically tho) with Hibertaion mode, like I once thought i might be. He used "Powercfg -H OFF" in CMD to turn it off.
__________________Worth a try hm? EDIT: Well that was fast. No go. ![]() IM gonna try a completely fresh install of 181.22 drivers. They works for... sense I got the card until this problem all the sudden cam up. well see

The only way I could fix it was to do a complete reinstall of Windows.
