Default problem installing 186.xx drivers

I tried installing the new drivers and it said that im running a 32-bit version of the nvidia installer but if you look up at the top of the installer window, it is actually the 64-bit installer.

Try redownloading the drivers, get them from another source (if you didn't get them from Nvidia), or try extracting the file and running the installer manually.

I had no problems with the drivers I downloaded from Nvidia directly.

EDIT: Also, if you've tried running them multiple times, try deleting the NVIDIA folder from your C:\ directory before re-trying the install. Basically when you click the driver executable, first it extracts all the files to C:\NVIDIA, and then proceeds with the install. There could have been an error when you initially extracted the files, and since everything is already there, it may be trying to skip over re-extracting, and is running the same faulty executable. It's kind of out there, but just a thought.
