I downloaded RivaTuner and did the whole force installation of the driver since it wasn't recognizing it on it's own.
My driver version was 186.03 so that's what I entered in the box for ForceDriverEntry. I'm using a GeForce 8200 which is a Notebook video card. Any advice on what to do? =/ I'm about to give up. |

Did you make sure the light bulb was on and the check there next to it? Then reboot?
__________________I just did this yesterday with the 186.18 driver and it worked for me bro. I had to close RT and reboot for it to take though. (Did you also type the driver without the decimal point? 18630?)

And I typed it without the decimal: 18603. And yes, the light bulb is on for it. |

Yeah:
__________________RT>Power User Tab> System> Force Driver Version > Light Bulb + Check > Type in 18603 or your driver version (mines 18618) without the decimal > Okay > Close RT > Reboot the pc. "ok go to power user then go to rivatuner/system its the first tab go down to forcedriverversion and manually type in the driver without the dot aka 18618 and make sure the bulb is lit with a check mark. restart your pc." I'll post a screenie so you can see what I mean.

What driver were you using before bro?
__________________Did you get it all out when you tried to re-install? You may need to use a program like Driver Sweeper to get the left over bits...it happens sometimes. Also, where'd you get the driver you are trying to install? NVIDIA? I just re-installed an older X-Treme G driver, the 185.81, and RT snapped it right up--didn't even have to force it. Try installing a different driver. IMO the 186's are cr@p anyway--dropped my fps by 10. No joke. Went back to the X-Treme G and now I'm back at 90-125 in COD4 again. What os are you using? And is it 32 or 64 bit? I'll give you the link to grab a good driver for it that RT will gobble up. ![]() RT found it quick.

Were all going to have to wait for Tuner 2.25 version that supports 186 fully.

Your going to have to wait until riva 2.25 I don't know why it's taken so long. Keep an eye out for it, I predict it comes out this month.
