I tried the Omega Drivers for just my Geforce 8800GT and didn't like the results, but they could work better with your FX 5500. I would stay clear from them, and just use the offical nVidia Forceware Drivers, but thats just me.

Omega made great drivers "way back when" for ATI, but his Nvidia stuff was never the same quality in my opinion. These days you dont read too much about modded drivers at all. I would stick with the official ones.

I remember depending on Omega instead of using ATI Catalyst when I had my x800 .

I would recommend Omega at that point.

As of now

Do not trust Omega on your nvidia. Also on your ATI , as when I was using it it was a while ago. Youll find yourself running into odd problems if you install, like resolution and refresh rate problems, and possible less quality ,, for speed which doesn't do a thing for todays cards. Why reduce the graphics quality. That's what youll get with Omega, plus res and refresh issues possibly, dual mon issues... gl to the brave soul that takes these over the nvidia WHQL . gl
