recently my gtx260 is crashing during games even though its passing hours of occt: gpu and 20 passes of the memtest. I want to completely remove rivatuner and restore the original settings in the registry. can i just uninstall it with revouninstaller, which scans the registry for edited entires, although i don't know if it can restore them to old values. Do i need to do something else or what? i looked on the actaull guru3d forum, and all i found was a post saying to delete the folder, thats it. i know it can't be that simple, cause even when rivatuner isn't running, its settings remain in place in the registry. thanks in advance.

Just run it for 30 minutes or an hour its up to you really. But overall its a great tool to just test the stability of your card and if you're overclocking you just raise core/shader/mem and run furmark to test its stability.

Ya..........Furmark is a great program.
If you see artifacts while running it.......just press "Esc". Also enable the "Log GPU temp" before running the stability test.
