speedfan vs core temp.. soo confused! - Overclock.net

Ok so i ran speedfan and it says my core is 17c... my guess is that means my CPU core or something? but then when i run core temp it shows a total different temperature. it shows up in the 30s for both of my cores. here is a screen shot..

can someone help?

Maybe speedfan is calculating the ambient cpu temp and core temp is actually calculating the cores. I would believe core temp over speedfan anyday.

Both speedfan and coretemp have offset adjusts. you have to -15 possibly. temps are shown 15c above depending on chip and app.. gl
