Default Overclock Nvidia GTX 260M, Help

Hi everybody, Iīll like to know how I can overclock my GPU, well I own a Alienware M17x since 3 weeks and i configured it with the follow hardware:
Core 2 Quad (Q9000), Single GTX 260M (1 GB GDDR3, 112 Pipelines, 550 MHz Core Speed, 1375 MHZ Shader Speed, 950 MHZ Memory Speed), 4 GB DDR3 Memory (1066 MHz) HD WDC 320 (7200 RPM) and Win Vista (x64) and 7 (x64).

well I have been tryied modify the Clocks of my card with Riva tuner since I had my laptop but Itīs seems that it hasnīt support for my card, When I bought my nothebook I had the OEM Driver (Froceware 178.xxxx) I Tryed update It For another or the latest drivers form Nvidia but I Couldīt (I really donīt know why), the past week I Found a beta forceware (186.21) and I Intalled it, but both drivers wasnīt useful for my quest, Riva tuner donīt detect a valid forceware, I read that Rivatuner has suport at least the forceware 182.06, In that case.... why Canīt I modify my GPU with the OEM driver???? I Would can do it.....

Some idea, What am I doing Wrong?????
Please help, I need that info for play decently games like lost planet and crysis warhead with the better details and more that 4X for anti aliasing....

Hi juggalo, Thanks for reply.
Yes I Tried install that driver you say but I couldnīt install anything, the install program displayed something like that it couldnīt found any driver compatible for hardware that it found (I Downloaded the correct driver, Iīm secure), also in the Nvidia control panel I donīt see any controls for overclocking options, I Know that with rivatuner I can unlock the clock panel for overclocking in Nvidia control panel but rivatuner no works.... the case is that I Tried to do the same with the original OEM driver which suppose has support for rivatuner, so I have asked me what is wrong.
What I need to do, wait for the next version of rivatuner, use another program, try again to install the oficial Driver for nvidia????
Are you know something about someone who Could overclock this GPU (or Its brother, the GTX 280M)????? If another can, I can do it too

We are all waiting for Riva Tuner 2.25 my friend,

no ones card gets noticed with a riva from 185.xx and on though you can still use it to OC and do your thing,,,

Best bet is make sure WHQL drivers are installed latest and also wait for tuner 2.25 which will come out later this month hopefully,, gl,

You can make any unsupported driver work with Rivatuner. Note the second post.

Rivatuner does work with the latest released drivers from nVidia. However, to get them working you must do the following:

1.) Go to the power user tab.
2.) Double Click on "Rivatuner \ System".
3.) Scroll down to "Force Driver Version".
4.) Set the "Force Driver Version" field to your driver version.(No periods or puncuation of any kind, so 185.85 would be 18585.)

Hi again, Thanks Nowyoudie, finally I could acceess to clock controls of my GPU whit your help , now Iīm trying to get better bechmarks jejeje, i just need to find the better combination between overcloking and estability (without artifacts in game) thanks again.

however I think about rivatuner is running on emulation mode, so I think that the better way will be wait for rivatunner 2.25 like says twaekboy instead, but for now, Iīm happy ja
