Win7 will reinstall the micro$oft approved drivers unless you change the settings
kinda like turning off WHQL driver certification in XP, I can not remember how I did it but it was not difficult to do just had to dig for the control point

So where should I look for this option? Device Manager or Windows Update?
Thanks.

OK, I found where to turn that off but I don't think that's what was happening because I installed the Nvidia Control Panel and it says I had the same drivers.
Now mind you, all of this happened after I installed more memory and updated the BIOS so it could be one of those things. I'm running 6 gigs of Corsair XMS2 4 Gigs on one side and 2 on the other. My system reads them fine, is there a way I can check if I have a memory leak or something? I can't even play a video, every time I try to do something that uses the graphics card, I get a BSOD.

take out the memory you just installed.
If that doesnt work, go back to the original bios. What was the reason for flashing your BIOS? was it in need of repair? With regards to BIOS, I swear by not flashing it unless absolutely neccesary to repair something.

My PC wouldn't wake up after it went to sleep mode, and it started doing other weird stuff. I was running and old version of my BIOS (1703) so I upgraded since other people running Windows 7 with the same mobo were using the new version (2101).

OK so I copied down the BSOD info and did a search. Of course it relates to the NVIDIA drivers.
The file on the BSOD was "nvlddmkm.sys". I found a solution (I think). A few of the topics I found said to simply change the 3D setting in the NVIDIA Control Panel from "Quality" to "Performance". A few other solutions that I saw said to raise the voltage a little bit and it was caused by a lack of power. So here's what I did: -Changed it from quality to performance. -Restarted - still got the driver failure on startup and a BSOD when I tried to open a video. -Shut down - took out 2 GB of RAM so I only had one kind of RAM instead of 2 different ones. -Started up - Still got the driver failure on startup and BSOD when I tried to play a video. -Shut down again - Put back the other 2 GB of RAM -Started up - No driver failure and no BSOD when playing videos. ***? How is that possible? Well, I think I just figured it out as I type this. I just realized that I didn't reconnect my CPU fan after I put the 2GB back in. So that tiny bit of extra voltage must be helping out whatever is wrong. So obviously the answer IS that the voltage was too low. So I'm gonna restart a few times just to make sure I'm ok. Then I'm gonna plug the fan back in and up the voltage in Rivatuner. What should I change the voltage to?

I tried messing with voltage and it still BSODs. Looks like I'll have to revert to 182.50.
At least I'm not the only one with this issue. http://forums.guru3d.com/showthread.php?t=302413
