Restarted and ran the stress test, got 121 fps, not much of a difference. Im going to install/run 3dmark 06 now and i'll post screenies of the results.

update, more of the same...
Pictures show that I have the same drivers (or so it says) as someone with an 8800GT, but their windows experience rating is significantly higher than mine even though my 9800GTX+ should blow it away. Second pic is what I just got in 3d mark 06... a miserable 8900.

Have you tried installing the system tools for nvidia and checked the clock speeds? also in the system tools you can see what your driver version is and compare it to what you installed. The new nvida drivers don't make you reboot after installing them fyi.

After you install the system tools go to the Performance tab -> View System Information. Then to the right look at the Geforce Video. It should show the driver version you installed. If you click on device settings the the GPU button on the right it will show you your clock speeds.
