Unhappy Forceware 190.38 fan spin issue

I've recently installed the 190.38 driver on my 9600gt. Immediately I discovered that during gaming the fan would spin up but would never spin back down until a restart.

Is this a bug in the driver? Anyone having the same issue?

I have a similar bug, where my fan stays down at %35 and never comes up at all unless I manually adjust it.
Im putting it directly down to the drivers.
I'm going back to the previous drivers to see if it fixes the issue.

It seems that the latest driver (190.62) doesn't not fix the issue

yeh, only thing to do is stick with 186.18. no big deal. the 190's offer nothing for the gtx+ cards. they are maxed out driver-wise.
