Default Does undervolting vGPU affect performance?

im forced to lower the voltage of my GTX260 GPU without any OCing. but i dont know how low should i get. i already know that 975mv is stable but how stable. and im not sure if >975mv if its stable or not. all i know is that 1113mv is the unstable a little. so its between 1113 -975. so whats the deal here? is it recommended to go to the lowest possible stable voltage or the highest possible stable voltage? for performance increase? again im not OCing, that would be too much work for me. im just a noob.

go for the lowest possible stable voltage cause that means it will run cooler

running cooler = better performance? shouldnt i leave more headroom for the card to do its thing whatever that may be. i mean comon the pple who made the card mustve gave it too much voltage for a reason. it has a purpose probably or else why would they risk causing overheating? btw, after a couple of tests i realized 975 isnt stable and that ill check 988mv and see what happens.

Neither temperature nor voltage will directly affect performance.

If the card is unstable, it may throttle, and instability could be caused by the wrong voltage, or too high temperature. However, it's always best to use the least voltage necissary to maintain full stability at whatever clocks/settings you will be using. Anything past that is a waste.

Wink

Don't undervolt you wont be able to achieve the same clock speeds.

You need to give it more voltage soo you can OC higher and get better performance my friend.. gl
