Anyone else get poor performance with 190.xx drivers? - Overclock.net

I've been playing Oblivion recently and the game ran very smooth with the 186.18 drivers, I recently switched to the 190.62 drivers and the game seems very choppy now. Anyone else have issues with the 190 series drivers or is it just me?

Did you clear the previous drivers out properly in safe mode with driver sweeper?

yep same here COD both 4 and 5 almost %50 less fps then 186.xx drivers

Yeah, I recently formatted to W7 from Vista and these are the only drivers I've used since switching to W7. On Vista I ran the 186 drivers though I did briefly try the 190 betas which had the same results.

I guess I'll try the 186s again.

Yup, must have been the drivers. I switched back to 186.18 drivers, and first thing I noticed after rebooting is that Digital Vibrance works again (colors look better), and Oblivion runs smooth again.

190.xx series of drivers cause crashes for me so I stick to the 185.xx.

Not touching the 190.xx drivers! I'm running the 186.18's and thinking of going back to the 182.50's. Had great results with those with the games I play right now.

I've found the 190.62 to be incompatible with warlords IV, tried on 2 systems. graphics are afu. Those are the only 190.XX I've tried.

The 190 drivers have been nothing but problems for me. The 186.18's are the best.
