Default PSU for MSI n250gts

Well, i have an msi N250GTS 1gb card. My PSU is 400 WATTS with 18A on the 12V rail so is tihs psu enough or should i upgrade it. Any suggestions?

I would suggest you upgrade, If it is not a quality unit chances are it cannot produce what it says on the label. If it is, it will be close to its limit.

Hiya Al. Well I think that you would be ok as the gts is a close cousin to the 88/98gt but it you do decide to go sli/xfire then you would need a better psu.

That being said, if you can afford it I would suggest at least a 600W psu, or more. I see on The Egg that the Corsair tx650, which is my psu and works great, can be bought for $90 - $10 MIR and free shipping.

Then you would be setup for sli or a big gpu upgrade and not need to worry about power any more. A quality brand of psu costs a bit more but is well worth the extra cash for peace of mind.
