The mobo only supports 333 and over.. can this be changed somehow?

I will try Furmark.. but cant rly change anything reguarding the 12v molexes.. only got one cable from the PSU and I use it to: power dvd, cd, front pannel, the 4 pin 12v molex on the mobo (for GPUss with out its own connections) so I cant just change around as i wish due to length of the cable. (or what is this "rail" you are speaking off?)

WOW guys! we have a major discovery here I think.. I Ran FurMark stress test as suggested by heathmcabee.. with fan on 70% It goes from 45 to 80 on 2-3 min and starts to make some glitches or graphic errors.. with fan on 100% it it sort of froze the screen for 10 sec.. so it obviously happens whe the card is under stress.. but I read someware that 83 was avg on a bunch of gtx275..

Wow. I didn't know that. I don't have any idea how to use anything less than 333 MHz. Perhaps it's possible with another BIOS update. I'm so clueless this time.

Y'know what's funny is that I was going to ask heathmcabee the same question: can you explain how to use a different +12V rail?

With all due respect, I think that they might be confused by this. I mean, you didn't particularly say that you accidentally threw out the 2nd 6-pin PCI-E connector. I'd also be confused by the rest, so here's what I recommend writing to them, or something similar:
Quote:
I recently upgraded my graphics card from the 9800 GT to the GTX 275, but I accidentally threw away the 2nd 6-pin PCI-E connector. This means I now only have 1 6-pin PCI-E connector, and therefore I am running short on the molex connectors. So, can you send me a new 6-pin PCI-E connector as well as 1-2 molex connectors? Or, would you like me to order them from you? If I need to order them, then I need instructions on how to do it.

Also, I'm hearing noise on our Intercom system that I think is coming from the computer. Is this normal? Is it safe?

Thank you for your time and I look forward to your reply!
Granted, it doesn't have to be exactly this word-for-word, but I think this is much less confusing.

But regarding the noise you're hearing, I am curious: do you only hear it when the computer is on? If so, then do you have the option of using a different outlet? And is the computer plugged in directly to the outlet, or are you using a surge suppressor?

With all due respect to heathmcabee: it's not overheating. I think this issue is being caused by something else and has nothing to do with the temperature of the GPU.

So, let's start doing some silly things: replace the 6-pin PCI-E connector with another molex adapter so that you are using two identical connectors (which would require 4 molex connectors).

But before you do that: is the graphics card overclocked at all? If so, then set it to stock.

I understood that part but did you make sure your whole system was stable? That's why I put that first. make sure your settings and fsb in relation to your ram speed are stable first.

Do you mean that the surge suppressor is not grounded? This could be a part of what's causing the problem. I mean, it just sounds like some kind of interference. In other words, perhaps things need to be separated to different outlets or something.

And don't worry about OSDCrusher. He's just a forum troll.

But this new card is more demanding, and the FSB is overclocked from 266 to 333, and therefore I think perhaps the FSB ("VTT", or "Voltage Termination") voltage should be increased a little bit. If not that, then the Northbridge voltage.

You need to RMA the card. That is called Artifacting.

EDIT: The card is well within thermal spec's under load and shouldn't be doing that. I dont know where all this CPU overclocking talk came from, cause I thought we were troubleshooting a graphics card. If you want put your system @ stock and try the test again (if you have even overclocked your processor), but if I were you, I would have already put in a RMA ticket with XFX.
