What is the point of me doign this and why Would I not want to?


I guess the big question is, I want to max out Batman Asylum with Physx on high, but all reviews I see show that my frames would be craptastic with Physx on high and Anti Aliasing etc on just one GPU.

Can my 8800 GTS 640mb (the Old 8800) be used as Dedicated Physx?

Will it dothe job well for that particular game?

Will there be compatibility issue being that one is DX 10? and the other DX10.1 right?

if I go about doing this, how exactly do I do that haha, Which Drivers would I use. Currently Running Windows XP Pro 32bit - and Most Likely Windows 7 Ultimate or Pro 64-bit very soon.

yes, you have the right idea, if you want to max physx they you'd be stupid not to use the 8800 especially if you already have it lying around

so anyone know how to do it?

I dont use an SLI bridge , things liek that right?

Just stuff it in, whipe the drivers, re-insall which Drivers for xp pro 32?

It's a good idea for PhysX.

Just install it in your system and enable PhysX in nVidia control panel, no driver reinstalls needed.

Arkham Asylum benefits hugely from PhysX, you should max it out easily.

Subscribed. I have new hardware on the way, and I'll be doing almost exactly the same thing (even with the P6T Deluxe, if you can believe it).

As far as I know, you have the setup steps right. Disable PhysX on the 275, and keep it enabled on the 8800. There are PhysX only drivers out there or something, but I don't think you use them (although I've been wrong a lot lately).

I've done it with my 260 216 core and my msi 8800gts 640. I just put both in my ud3p and then install new drivers from nvidia site at the time. I then enabled physx in control panel. It worked fine. However I never actually played a physx game to make it any useful.
