Just a heads up so no one else experiences the same problems I did: After a Windows 7 64-bit clean install I loaded the 191.07 drivers, figuring newest release = best chance for maximum compatibility with Windows 7. Everything was honky dory for days, but last night I had serious problems with Adobe Premiere Elements 7 (full) and 8 (trial). Turns out that one of the screens in Premiere Elements was making a DirectX call that in turn used an nVidia driver DLL that is part of the Stereoscopic 3D driver. And headshot...BOOM! Crash to desktop every time.
It took me a loooong time to find the source of the problem, so I thought I would save you the pain. If you experience unexpected but consistent crashes, try uninstalling the Stereoscopic 3D driver. Worked like a charm for Premiere Elements, everything is back to being honky dory again.
I need to send a note to NVidia about this, they have a bug in that driver DLL. Not sure why it was even installed on my system anyway, I don't have the shutter glasses...they should not install drivers for which I have no hardware, that's bad form!
My OCN blog has a little more of my experience with this, if anyone cares to look.
