I've got a few questions on my EVGA 512-P3-N860-TR GeForce 9600.
1. Whenever I turn on my computer, which I always have it set to Hibernate, the fan settings would revert back to the default, 64%, which I lowered it to 35% because its loud as a jet. How do I stop it from going back to 64%? It's so annoying to have to go back to Rivatuner everytime I turn on my computer just to set it back to 35%. 2. How do I set the fixed aspect ratio for my CS? I play all my games at 800x600 and I don't want that stretched out picture. I don't see any options in the NVIDIA Control Panel that says fixed aspect ratio. I'm using 186.18 drivers.

I'll try using EVGA Precision, but before I do that do I have to uninstall Rivatuner? And anyone know how to set the aspect ratio thing? lol EDIT: This is very very annoying lol. I would set my fan settings to 35% on EVGA Precision and I press apply and then it would just bump back up to 65%. It's like resetting itself. And yes, I hit the button for it to not go in auto lol EDIT2: It seems like it can only go above 65% but not below it. How come its stuck? I've lowered it on Rivatuner before, it just didn't save after booting up from hibernation.

You should be able to play above 800x600. I play at 1600x1200 just fine and my games are much more demanding then CS. You might want to try these adjustments in NVCP.

Okay, forget about the aspect ratio because I'm just going to use 1440x900 in all my games. But with the fans, they're so loud and annoying! I've read on newegg that to fix this problem, I use the driver on the disc that came with the card, but I've lost the disc and I don't I know what version it is. Is there another alternative to the driver downgrade?

the fan on my card is set to 39% by default but i only shutdown my pc or it goes to sleep by itself im thinking its hibernation that causes it.

But the problem is that I can't change my fan speed. I can't change it lower then 65%. Does anyone have this card that could help me out? It's very very loud... ![]() EDIT: I've changed the speed fan in Rivatuner's first arrow option where it says "Enable low-level fan control" but I think it won't save after I come back from Hibernation. I don't even think I'll need Hibernate anymore so I guess I'll just normally Shut Down my computer. Is there any speed difference between Hibernate and Shut Down?
