Single 8800GTX owner here, and looking to mod cooling, looking at a Zalman Fatal1ty CPU cooler, to mod.

Will that cooler fit/work? What are your plans for the VRAM, the heatsinks that come with the Fatal1ty?

P.S. Does anyone have a pic of the G80 w/o the cooler attached?

well I tried just a Zalm vf900, and it kept the card the exact same temp, it fits if you unscrew the metal square deal that is framing the chip on the GPU, you can use the holes that secure it down, if it did work I was just going to buy some vram sinks from Fry's, they come in packs of 8, and for the exaust I just have 90mm fan blowing out the back of the case just below the 8800, drops your temps about 6-8 degrees if you havnt already done it.

I just jammed a 120mm fan into my case, right at the end of the stock cooler with my side panel off, so its exhausting the hot air out the case, and so far its gone from 60C idle to 52-53C idle.

yeah, gotta get the word out to add an exaust fan below the vid card, lol its such a simple concept, but it will eliminate a lot of heat.

Running 8800GTX SLI, but I am amazed at the temps that are listed here. I idle @ 76/79c - And I have a Thermaltake Armor Case, so plenty of air flow??

Edit - That is @ stock speeds
