Cooling a 7900gs
hey, im gettin a 7900gs fer christmas, and i was wondering if i should get the zalman vf900, or is the stock cooler good

i remounted the stock with as5 and have had pretty good results.

Just an FYI, but the eVGA ones already come with some sort of silver grease that resembles AS5. It isn't AS5, but it looks fairly close.

A VF900 will be quieter. I'll be the first to admit that the stock fan is loud as hell.

FEELING FULL OF WIN

The Stock cooler isnt bad for stock use. However if you wish to overclock it then the VF-900 comes very reccomended.

i installed the vf900 as well as useing the as5 on my 7600gt .
my temps went down 9 degrees . idle now at 38-40 , load at 46-48 . overclocked 654 core , 860 memory . thats not to bad , im thinkin . good luck there . cheers .
