Default My overclocked 8800gtx 3dmark results on overlocked Conroe

Well, I haven't owned a Nvidia card in four years, since I bought a gf4 4200 that died for absolutely no reason, and I am very impressed with this card. It overclocks like any enthusiast processor should. I may try and pencil mod the memory later, it may just artifact up, but worth a try....

The only bump in the road was the fact that the card is so BIG. I had two drill two new holes and move my water pump because of the size of it. I was suprised, big card.

Rivatuner would not convince my card to change the fan speed when I set it to do so, so I set the fan to %100 myself.

My nice cam is still in the mail, I got this thing at a pawn shop.

Something to put this card to good use.

It's all about the resolution to me that monitor cost just over $150

Besides the fact that I can't afford a large LCD (not any time soon anyway) I like the refresh rates of crt. Theres absolutely no trailing or luminous darkness.

I think I'm gonna pencil the vmem up some later today, gotta enjoy it a little first.

Very good line of thinking. I suppose if you have the desk space then it's ok to have a large CRT. I had a 21 inch CRT..... Yeah it SURE didnt fit...

Nothing good fits in or beside my Computer

I popped in a 8800GTS and I have to have a molex to PCI-e adapter as it wont fit

Kudos on the KILLER scores...Anything over 10,000 blows my mind with the power,....

Thanks

Ya, the card is a monster as far as size is concerned, the ihs is thick too, I think it's probably keeping the temps up some, with new as5 and %100 fan it will still get up to about 75c.

Pick any FPS within the last three years or coming out soon, I will probably play it

I'm playing quake 4 right now. Smooth as silk at 1920 1440 max settings with 4xAA. 8xAA only makes the fps go down a bit, but at 4xAA, the fps is topped out and doesn't change much, as though my cpu or motherboard or something is a bottleneck. Or maybe it just doesn't move, i dunno
