Of course. They'll also probably make 8959GX2s for quad-core, and 8600 series for mid-range DX10.

Im Sure in the Future yes. I heard theres an 8600GTS being released..Its the more Budget DX10 cards.

The G90 series was supose to come out summer of '07, but they're going to have to change the name since ATI already has a........ 9800.

with it in the "8xxx" and on arnt they naming their cards with numbers that were used in old ATI cards, 9800 etc? will that matter since its a Geforce 9800 instead of a ATI Radeon 9800?

It would not matter if they were in different markets (say, a GPU and a car tire), but since they are in direct competion NVidia has to use a different nameing system if they don't wan't to get sued over trademarks.

No - ATi owns the rights to Radeon 9600 and Radeon 9800 - if not just Radeon. You can't copyright a number - unless you mean the binary representation of copyrighted materials. Radeon is the series name - which is copyrighted. 9x00 is just the model number. To compare - the Honda Civic XL is copyrighted. But the Civic part - not the XL part.
