Default 8800gtx high pitch scratch sound?!?

Ok bought this thing a couple days ago now, and I overclocked it once, but of coarse with nTune the values just went back to default when I restared, Anyways when I started to OC my CPU I noticed it started to make a very high pitch and almost very fast scratching/ticking sound, I can't really explain it, but even when my CPU stats were all back to normal it continued to make this sound (only when running 3d application, such as 3dmark06, FEAR), and it seems to fluxuate according to the sceen I am in, like when I am going through the begining menus it is changing in pitch and tone, higher and lower every menu, and once I start a game, it seems to stay generally the same. If anyone has any suggestions I would like to hear them or else I'm taking this thing back to the vendor I got it from and getting a new one (because eVGA would take like 3 weeks to get it fixed)

Sounds like there is a fan problem.
Change in pitch may be due to the constant change in temperature which changes the speed of the fan ?.

IMO its a defective fan

It's not a fan sound guys lol, I can tell when it's a fan or not, and it's definately not the fan, plus I got the fan on 100% reguardless, and the change in pitch is not gradual, it's immediate, not like a fan reving up and down, it's more high then that, also I have put my finger on the fan to stop it while it was making the sound, and it still sounded the exact same once the fan came to a stop.

Are you positive it's coming directly from the video card? Try swapping out an old one to be sure. I've had similar sounding things on an old computer and it ended up being the chipset fan. Also, take any discs out of your optical drives. It could be those spinning up as well.
