That to run DX10 games at max and the way there were supposed to be ran instead of using DX 9.0c you would need a DX10 card and Vista. Read the rest of the thread above.....

How does that even make sense? If you have SLi or CrossFire and run the game and Max settings it will not look better if you put a DX10 GPU... You can't go higher than max settings and, if anything, you'd just get more FPS.

quote"all high end DX9 cards are Vista ready"
__________________ You're worng. All the gpu's that are not onboard and have 256mb(not hipermemory and turbo cahce) of video memory are vista ready. Even a X1300 with 256mb is Vista ready. You don't need a top of the line model to run vista.

What I am saying is DX10 is gonna be totally different then DX9. The whole game is pretty much gonna be put onto the GPU. Yea you can run the games with DX9 cards, but its not gonna be the same. Cause its gonna tax your whole system. You might be able to play them maxed out but its not gonna run the same. And I can say that my 8800GTX does make even DX9 games looks a lot better, everything is sharper and what not. Even on the same setting from my 7900GT.

^^ yes that is true....and when dx10 arrives even dx9 titles will look better than when previously played on any dx9 card.....if you dont believe me check out the new maximum pc...it goes in depth on the differences between dx9 and dx10....and i dont know understand the big fuss over crysis and dx10....no one even knows what crysis looks like in dx10....all the video footage is ran on dx9 hardware from the last ive heard and correct me if im wrong....

I also think the G80 series is alot more ready for DX10 than the older series. I could be wrong though. We'll just have to wait for some DX10 benchmarks. ^^

I 'm not sure why but the GFX of my 8800gtx are much better than my 7800gtx's sli were. I mean the FPS is higher but also the explosions and effects are %100 better. I can't tell you why but it might have to do with shader modles I think my 8800 is 3.0 and my 7800gtx were 2.0 or something like that ...as you can tell I have not really looked into the differances between the 7800 and 8800 I just know that I'm very happy with the 8800gtx and can't wait to run SLI.
