MM..you can google for 'voltmods' on your card, to find the measure points if you dont know where they are...remember, you measure with only one 'probe' when the computer has power!

You might need to give it a little more voltage for it to work.

Not usually, no..but it is possible. Most factory OC's consist of either a 'modd' BIOS startup speed, and/or slight voltage increase. If the voltage increase has been done through BIOS, then, no worries...if not, then there is extra hardware.

unfortunately not..you will have to ask someone that has one, or rummage through the Nvidia forums.

So I did a quick search, which was fruitless, so I thought I would post a quick question here... can I flash a 7900gs to a 7900gt? And if there is the potential to flash the 7900gs upwards, what is the highest model it can flash to? I am willing to upgrade the cooler to make the change...

Second question, with regards to monitoring my PSU voltage stability, what are some good programs to do this with that will run on an A64 system?

Thanks!!

EDIT: after checking speedfan, my +12v line fluctuates between 12.04 and 12.10 for the most part, but it spikes down to 11.80 every now and then, and up to 12.16... this worries me, but please tell me if this is nothing to worry about. If it is, are their any software or hardware additions that can be made to stabilize the current?

..not unless you use a 7900gs OC bios. GS = 20 pipes...GT = 24 pipes

If you want a faster default speed, just mod your BIOS and vmod your gpu.
