Ive read the guide but i have one problem. I dont have a floppy drive. Can i use a USB drive or a CD/DVD?
I would also like to know what i have to do to format the storage device for DOS. Do i just do it the same as if it was for a new windows install? i think im right in saying you have to format to NTFS (for windows) so is it FAT32 file system for DOS?
Thanks

Yes, you can use the CD/DVD..you just make an 'ISO Boot' disk, then put the files onto it. After you are finished, restart your cpu and see if the boot disk works.\

*I use Nero to make the iso cd's.

I have a PNY Technologies 320mb 8800 GTS. What will be the best bios flash for this card? Im assuming you cant even cross flash a 320 & 640 GTS? but what is the top bios that i can use and does it have to be PNY? (Is it going to be the GTS OC or is there a GTS OC2?)

KEEP YOUR BIOS...you done need any other...you just need to edit it. You can use programs like 'NiBitor' to download the BIOS off of your card, and edit it..then flash the edited BIOS back onto the card! whalla!!...newer..faster..better!

What you need to do, if you are consumed by having a faster GPU...like me, is test the crap out of the card you have now! You need to know what its max stable clocks are for both GPU and MEM...when I say max, I dont mean, "I can play BF2 for a long time, with no issues..", I mean "It was stable through back-to-back bench runs on 3d06', for over 2hrs..and plays all of my games with no hiccups."

If you are still on stock cooling, then you arent going to have much room for extra Mhz, as your temps will catch up with you..eventually getting to unsafe levels. Extra cooling, is $$ well spent, as your GPU will see ~20mhz increase in possible clock speeds, at the same voltage, for every ~10c you can lower the temps....So, drop your temps 20c and you should be able to OC ~40-50mhz higher on the stock voltages.

recap: 1: test your GPU
2: get cooler temps..by whatever means
3: mod BIOS and flash

i recently flashed a BFG Fx5500 BIOS 256mb and now it recognizes it as a 128mb instead of 256mb. Also in rivatuner if i change the clock settings down or up by even 1mhz and test it the error comes up:
the driver failed to pass the internal test.....
