Default Paypal Mess-Ups

Sorry for posting this here, it is the only forum I really browse. Some mods can move it to more relevant forum. Anyway, back to the question.

I have googled the hell out of this, and cant find an answer. Say I want to transfer 100$ to my Paypal account, from a bank in Canada, it takes on average 8-11 days for me (although it says 6-8). So I will go buy some stuff in between in the transaction, and find out my account balance is like $45 or something like that. So I am really worried about getting an insufficent charge ($50 or something like that) So, I found out yesterday, that I didn't have enough money for the $100 I was tranferring, and today, it says that it went through. I am looking at my actual account balance, and its still saying 40 some dollars. What I am wondering, is does paypal take the money out of your account right away, and it just takes forever to transfer it or what? I get like 300 dollars every two weeks (Working at McDonalds :P) So it dissapears VERY quickly, and I'm worried about getting a charge by paypal and my bank for not having enough money.

Any help is appreciated.

If you have your debit/credit card linked up then it MIGHT take it out right away. What it might actually do is put your paypal in the negative (-) and you can't use it until you add funds to get back up to a positive or zero balance.
