I might be dumb, but as soon as I close rivatuner main window the osd wont work (the server is up and running)...

Try the send Rivatuner to tray on close.

Wow that's odd As long as I have the Server running the OSD will display no matter if Riva is open or not.

Hey mang ...

Great tips on the OSD ...

But for some reason, I can't get framerates to display in game; the core temp displays fine .. but for some reason FPS doesn't appear.

I want to get rid of FRAPS in favor of using Rivatuner for FPS display but for some reason it won't display the FPS ...

Any ideas?

Don't have FRAPS open while Riva is open.
Did you remember to activate the FPS plugin in set up?
