Depends on what settings you will use in game. Of course the 1440x900 will perform a little better than a 1680x1050 screen, but worse comes to worse, tone down the AA/AF a bit to make up for it. As for actual performance, no one can tell you now besides for the dev's.

Check out these benchmarks. It doesn't have 1440x900, but it'll give you some idea.

I know when I perform the "performance test" in Company of Heroes, I get around 70fps with everything maxed out at 1680x1050. When I bump it down to 1600x900, I get 80 fps. Take it for what it's worth. I wouldn't go any bigger than a 20'' monitor on that particular card.
I just noticed that you have this card, so I'm not telling you anything that you don't already know.

I had pretty much made a mistake in getting the eVGA 8800GTS 320Mb, as it lacked in performance even in DX9 games. GRAW? I had to turn off HDR and run the game at 1024x768. I haven't had to run a game at that res since using my X1800XT. Overall, spending 300 bucks for a card that looks good in benchmarks isn't what I was looking for. I could barely play Call of Juarez using my GTS. It sucks having to turn a bunch of things down when you're using the latest in video card tech. Now that I am moving up to the GTX, I shouldn't have nearly as much trouble, hell, I'll be selling my GTX in a few months to get the Ultra, this way when the 8900 comes out, I can sell the Ultra and have more of a return than if I sell the GTX, especially if there is a price drop on the 8800 cards.

Oh, and as for Crysis, I think you're going to have a hard time while using the GTS 320Mb. I suggest a single GTX minimum, optimum would be to SLi a couple of GTX's, but that's quite a chunk of money.
