Default my old 6800gs is really making me mad

ok, im letting my friend use my 6800gs. i installed the drivers, and everything works great. till i try to do something like start 3dmark, or go to the video card properties, then it craps out and the computer restarts. what is causing this? i have tried several different drivers.
and his ethernet isnt working. i have the new drivers and all is fine, but it wont find a connection. i have looked all over the site to find drivers for his FIC motherboard with a 6100 chipset. i have found no drivers for the 6100, but I tried the 410/430 drivers and it doesnt work. i have found the drivers for the motherboard at the FIC website, but it only offers XP32 drivers, he is running on x64.

so, can anyone tell me what i cam doing wrong? is the 6800 dead?

Maybe the PSU is not working properly/faulty, or a file somewhere. Did u clean out the drivers with driver cleaner and then put new ones on?
