Default How I got 52c full load on my 8800gts at 650/2000 w/ stock cooling

First i redid the tim on the card with as5, then I replaced the stock fan. This is how i replaced the stock fan, redoing the tim should be easy enough.

I was too lazy to rebuild it so i just took pics of the cover lol.

First you remove the screws circled in red on your stock cooler. The screws on the right side screws are underneath the plastic part,

The three screws here are what the fan is attached with.

Then you ziptie a fan to the fins, i hooked several zip ties together to form one massive zip tie!
And that is the secret to success!

Time for an action shot!

Nice, this is something I'd attempt. Keep up the awesomeness, yo.

I was planning to do this, but then my motherboard died for 2 months.

Did it allow you to achieve higher overclocks?

Haven't tested it wit higher clocks yet, i will tommorow i don't wanna screw with clocks right now. Before temps were 60c idle and 70c load now they are 48c idle and 56c load. So imagine that i might get a little bit of a oc increase.

I'll be looking forward to an update on that.

Till then! Good night ~

It's 92mm, and i'm not sure of the cfm, but it spins like crazy (it split my nail clean in half and i had to put superglue on it XD) it pushes an insane amount of air, prolly around 65cfm. I compared it to a 55cfm fan that i have and it pushes harder. Anything beyond 50cfm prolly wont have that big of an effect anyways, unless you set it to pull air from it.

That's nice. I don't understand why nvidia placed the fan next to the heatsink. :d
