Well I received only one eVGA 8800GT SSC yesterday. So far this card is very nice. Smoked my eVGA 8800GTX already. Here are some screen shots of my 8800GTX card OCed using XP vs the new 8800GT on factory stock setting and Vista x32. I am sure if a ran this under XP I would get a 15K score. I am getting a RMAed mobo Friday and my other eVGA 8800GT SSC card for SLI. To cool these cards I bought 2 eK Full Block "NICKEL" to water cool them. I hope to hit a score of 20K in 3DMARK06.

quad core gives about 1.5k points more than a dual even if it's clocked lower

i say don't look at total score only look at the sm2/sm3 scores

and a c2d will perform better in a non 4 core threaded game (most games) than a lower clocked quad even though the quad gets a higher 3dmark score

3dmark is not revelant to real performance.......

3dmark is not my favorie game......

------

but your results like about right

i have 8800GT at 700/1750/950 so 50 mhz lower mem

sm2 - 5,900
sm3 - 5552

yours is clocked a bit higher so its right

I have E6750 @ 3.5

get 12,700 so see how the quads adds the extra 1.5k

and ive used XP and xp only gives about 400 points more than vista

i was around 13,200 before with xp......

if you were in xp id ssau youd get around 14.6-14.7k and you would have to push for 15k in xp and more so in vista.......consider 1.1v bios mod

heres my current

http://service.futuremark.com/compare?3dm06=4279689

but all this doesent matter for games......a 1-4 fps difference if that

MSI unveils 1GB GeForce 8800 GT with GTS cooling

Quote:

Following the likes of Asus, Gainward and VVIKOO, Micro-Star International aka MSI has now announced its very own 1GB-equipped GeForce 8800 GT card. Most likely set at stock frequencies, the new graphics cards offers double the amount of memory of a regular 8800 GT and features a nice beefy cooling solution that is very similar if not identical to that of the 8800 GTS 512.

The card is expected to arrive in stores before 2007 ends but there's no announced 'suggested' price tag.
