You could have gotten the OC version. When I ordered my BFG 8800GTS from newegg it was supposed to be the OC version, but I got the OC2 which has higher clocks. Who knows if their stock was low on vanillas, they could have just thrown a OC version in there.

No PCIe just has extra bandwith, probably for future cards down the line. The card is backwards compatible with PCI-E 1.0.

not at all. It won't take advantage of PCI 2.0 yet because cards are still not using 1.0 to its full potential.

Would it be nice if you pay the vanilla price but end up to have the OC.

I've heard of an 8800 GT running in the 90 degrees celcius range. Is that bad for the video card? And could that possibly damage my motherboard?

I only have one hard drive, one dvd and three 120mm fans. Is it still OK? I only have $250 for GPU at this point.
E2140 should be able to handle the 8800GT. Regarding the PSU, based on what you described, your PSU should be fine for now.

You're forgetting a big part of pci-e 2.0. If you're running a pci-e 2.0 card in a pci-e 2.0 slot, the slot can provide 150 watts from the slot alone instead of pci-e 1.0's 75 watts.

Even tho the box doesnt say superclock? Cause based off atitools thats what it looks like. Maybe a glitch in atitools?
