I am no expert but this is what I have found.
I tried to use Ntuner and was unable to clock over 700 and saw no shader options. I cant remember if they are linked or not.

I then used RivaTuner and this provides the shader as an option. I first started by keeping them the GPU and shader linked and ended up bogging down at some value which I no longer remember.

Ultimately, I set everything back to default, increased the GPU speed until I maxed it out, then did the same for the shader, then the same for the Memory. Once this was done I started to try to fine tune but have not done much of that yet.

As far as temps I never let my card go over 65C b/c I think that is what I found to be the max acceptable manufacturer's temp. I think I am running idle@high 40s and under load RMS@55 (guessing i did not calculate ) and peak@60.

Links that will help:

Hope this helps,
Javy

thanks for the tips; I'll try that tonight. I don't think I ever tried it unlinked. I'm still _really_ happy about my 12800 3dmark06 score though.

Isn't there a softmod where you can increase your vCore to 1.1v with NiBiTor and hit 700 on the core easily? I tried running 3DMark06 last night on a 700 core and I froze up.

How long do you let ATI tool run? I get an artifact after 58 minutes above about 675 core and 999 memory with the shaders linked. I see some people run for about 30 minutes and call it good. I now am running at 666/990 and get no artifacts from ATI tool. Should I just leave it where it is or does an artifact after an hour mean I should definitely back it down?

And what is a safe temp? Right now at load I rarely go higher than 65 degrees, I was thinking 75 degrees would be a good max.
