linskingdom - Very sad news, my 8800GT is on the way out, shuts off my LCD after 10-15mins of intense gaming, checked with ATI Tool, it gets Artifacts after 10-15 Seconds and the LCD Shuts off, works fine for normal stuff, websurfing, music etc
i am going to replace this with a AMD Radeon 4850, plus iv gotten a new cpu E8500 core 2 duo, since then , and my 8800GT has been at stock speeds for months now so the overclock was not what killed it

I have a question..

Will an Antec 500W be capable of powering two 8800GT's in SLI ?
From what I see it does not have the recommended Amperage in the 12V rail

I plan to use this setup with a E8500 and a XFX 780i

Thanks

My mobo has one PCI-E x16 slot and two PCI-E x8 slots. I am running a single 8800gt 512mb at the moment. Will I see a significant increase in performance if I Sli two 8800gt's in the PCI-E x8 slots or should I save and buy a better card and run single in the PCI-E x16 slot?

that PSU has 3 12v rails at 17A each... that should be plenty as the 8800 needs 24A and adding a second only requires like 26 or 28A..

Adding all 3 rails should give you well over 40A

Of corse for that price, this OCZ Gamestream 700W would be better at $94
