Edit: my case is very well ventillated which may help my temps

Moved my system over to my new CM 690 case yesterday and installed my eVGA 8800GT Superclocked and my other 2 GB of Ballistix ram. Between the new GT and doubling my ram, my 3DMark 06 score went to 12200 (stock) from my old score of around 10000 with my 2900Pro 512 MB and my original 2 gigs of ram (stock). I would run the benchie with 2 gigs of ram, but I'm having too much fun with the Crysis demo. Maybe later.

My framerates only seem to dip down to 25 when there is a lot of action on screen but they stay at 30-31 the rest of the time. (1280X1024 2XAA 2XAF XP 32Bit High settings)

Well getting the urge to go sneak up on some North Koreans in cloak mode...They really should have put in the option of either being able to pants them or give them nano-suit powered wedgies...don't ya think?

Linskingdom, tell me what you want to know, and I'll see what I can do. If you need some benchies run or temps taken, I'll probably be able to do it this weekend. (Between scaring the crap out of NK troops and clearing the galaxy of the infestation of the living, I'll try to fit it in.)

My tale of indecision and woe:

I ordered from NCIXUS: Superclocked EVGA at $239. It appeared to process then about an hour later I got an email that said wmy POSTALCODE in my CC did not match the shipping addy or some crap.

I called buyt it was after hours. I emailed twice and then called twice in the AM. Finally got a call back that they were out oof stock but expecting more in a few days. I asked if I could resubmit and still get the prce. I was told yes. I gave them a different CC and thought all was well. Yesterday I get an email from NewEgg that the SuperClocked is back in stock *(about 1 AM)* I think about it and see that the card is now $50 more than what I paid (or will pay) at NCIXUS and say nah.

About 7 hours later I get an email from NCIX to inform me that it will be WEEKS not days before they fill my order :

Go back to Newegg: gone. OUT of Stock...

First I have to say I am pissed at y stupid Bank for whatever error it is on my CC info that screwed up the processing. Secondly I am pissed at NCIXUS for taking 24 hours to repond. Third I am pissed at the price gougling that is going on at all levels with all merchants. And Fourth I am pissed at myself for not knowing what I want

lol

So I started searching to see if ANYone had the EVGA SSC...nope. No where to be found.

So I placed an order with CLubit for the KO...which is better than the SuperClocked but not as good as the SSC.

This is to be a gift to friend ( he's getting married... so what better way to bring him closer to his wife than a PC upgrade right? heh)

Anyway. That's my tale of woe. Now I have to wait and see if NCIXUS is still going to send me a card or not. If I can get it at the price I originally paid I will just sell it for $50 more and recover some expense.

So I have two cards oordered, one paid for and still have not been able to locate the one I really want.
