Red, I use the newest betas from nVidias website. Work fine for me.

TnB= Gir brings up a good point. We do need a standard for obtaining the GPU load temperature so the temperature comparison is valid plus you can share cooling experience with others. I know you guys are looking for GT or trying to settle down. We don’t have to do this right now. How about we implement something like this. When time is perimtted, all 88000GT owners will reply to the main thread with your ambient temperature, idle temperature and a screen shot contains ATiTool stress test cube running for 10 minutes. If the temperature monitor is on, the idle and load temperature should shows on screen.

Thanks Mattngsx’s efforts. Here is a simple from him.

http://www.overclock.net/3005427-post593.html

I will add a GPU temperature section under main thread. Each owner will have a link pointed to the original post under the main thread. At the end of day, I will do a global update.

Let me know what do you think. Thanks.

Note: For all new owners, you don't need to provide this formation for joining the owners list. You can run the test when you have free time. I will update them as soon as I receive your information.

Does anyone know if the stock cooling most of the cards come with is good enough? I'm not sure if I'll be able to get a new case or anything for Christmas.

^ It's not the best, but if you really want to OC it I'd recommend a good cooler, Arctic Cooling Acclero S1 and S2 will do, add a fan and your set!

Well, I don't plan on doing any OC'ing until I complete my setup, so if I don't it will run fine?

I was waitting for Zotac but that's it. Can't wait any longer. I ordered a PNY 8800GT for $218 from buy.com. Not the good one but the price is right. Hope I can get it sometime next week.
