Hey thanks, but I should mention I use XP SP3 for my OS.

Also with nice ambient temps and still using the stock cooler,I had a 600/700 OC on the core and a solid 900/1000 on the ram. But then I had to turn the heat back on....it's winter ya know=P . So I can say that this card will OC nicley with a good 3rd party cooler. Check my sig for my cooler,I haven't added it yet because I need more ram heatsinks.

woot! my 1,000 post!

yep,I did that last week. I think the issue is that my pc desk is near the heat vent. I'd move it,but I have no place to move the desk to=(

I really think don't OC'ing is much of an issue anymore since this card run all my game on high and ultra high setting at stock.

Those charts on page 1 seemed a little too nice to the Radeon 2900XT. Those grades it was given looked even higher than most 3870 benches I've seen. I think it put the Radeon 2900XT a little too close to the 8800GT. Anyone else think so? I was lead to believe that an 8800GT was on average over 30% faster than a 2900XT

not necessarily true, the 3870 has been benching just slightly higher than the 2900XT, and both sit just beneath the 8800GT in most benches (primarily 3dmark06).

Installed the 169.13 drivers. It does give a small boost in FPS (not where you need it), more FPS in DiRT also, however Crysis seemed to stutter now, maybe I need the patch. Will have my HR-03 GT installed tonight, I will do some testing and let you guys know if it overclocks any better.
