have there been any benchmarks comparing GT 512MB to GT 1GB yet?

What's the difference between factory overclocked cards and default 600Mhz ones? They are pretty much the same card right? So are they just charing $50 for a 5 step operation in Rivatunner? Heat wise they should be identical...

Or is there any fundamental difference between factory OC and Rivatunner OC?

Hi chaps, just installed my Thermalright HR03-GT and let me go up to 740/1060
3DMark06 - 14200
Tidle - 41C
Tmax - 51C!
could you update my stats in the table please?

popped my m8s 8800gt in and with them at 720/1030 i got 15579 on 3dmark06 which is dissapointing

Basically, these is no major fundamental difference between factory OC and software OC. However, factory OC cards are tested and guaranteed to operate at their specified speed while you may have various OC result in standard one with OC software. For some vendors, , factory OC cards has better cooling methods than the standard cards. I always buy standard one.

I'm thinking that the 1GB models will be more beneficial to the SLI setups. I just don't think a single GT has the balls to use more than 512meg anyhow. But we'll see when the benchies come out.
