I don't understand how the "interface" will break when you clock the VRAM to 2GHz or higher. Doesn't make any sense. Also, why is this the first card I've ever heard of to do this?
I dunno...I think of it as a freeway. At 65 Mph, its pretty safe, but if everyone starts going 100Mph, there's gonna be more wreck and collisions. Just my thinking though.

eVGA has a card overclocked to 2ghz. They aren't stupid. They wont do it if the card will take damage because of the overclock.
maybe they crunched the numbers and figured out that the profit they will make outweighs the cost of RMA's /conspiracy theory

Don't worry about the memory, some folks over at Xtremesystems volt modded their cards, givin the vRAM significantly more voltage that stock, even up to dangerous levels only yielded <1100 mhz, in fact the had to bump the voltage up (I think) .3 v to get it near low - mid 1000 mhz.
yeah, but how long have they been running at those speeds? the card wont die instantly, it'll be a slow decline

i dont think ocing the ram to 1000 would be to much of an issue but i'm no tech head. the zotac card comes with 1ghz ram on board tho it is not clocked to this speed, so im thinking alot of the cards will prob have similar ram.
