Get old Nvidia Control Panel back. Easy how to.
I searched the site here and didn't find this fix. I thought it a good idea to post it in case someone comes looking for it like I did.
__________________=============================================== Here is the reg hack to get the old control panel back in Nvidia driver 163.75. =============================================== Nvidia has disabled the ability tochoose between using the old control panel or the new one. Thus you are stuck with only having the new control panel. Many people dislike the new control panels sluggishness, functions and layout. I am one of those people. I did a little searching and found a simple fix that I have implemented and used. Hope you find this useful. Here is the reg hack to get the old control panel back in 163.75. "... easily you can enable the classic CP in newer drivers. Run regedit.exe go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\NVIDIA Corporation\Global\NvCplApi\Policies and change the three parameters from (2) to (1) "--(anonymous user on a forum) That's it. Enjoy. (edit) As I do not run coolbits/nTune or any other OCing utility for my vid card therefore I do not know if this will refrain those utilities from working correctly. I use this to access the old control panel for everything it had in easy access.(/edit)
