Default How To: Overclock a G92 GTS 512MB
RivaTuner 2.08 now supports G92 8800GTS 512MB out of the box. No modifications needed. Just download it HERE and enjoy.



1. Download RivaTuner 2.06 and install it.
2. Brows to were you installd RivaTuner. (Typically C:\Program Files\RivaTuner v2.06)
3. Find a file named RivaTuner.cfg. Open the file with notepad.
4. Add This under [GPU_10DE]
Quote:
G92 = 610h-61Fh
G92 = 600h
5. Save the file, and you are ready to overclock your G92 GTS 512MB. Have fun!



FAQ:

Q: Where do I get RivaTuner 2.06?
A: Click Me.

Q: Whats the average overclock of G92 GTS 512MB?
A: Core 800, Mem 1050.

Q: What program should I use to test stability?
A: ATiTool, Yes it works with nVIDIA cards too.

Q: Vista x64 problems?
A: Check mega_option1010's guide.

Q: I dont get it...erm...I am a noob.
A: Download the premade RivaTuner.cfg and put it were you installed RivaTuner 2.6. Press overwrite when asked. Usually C:\Program Files\RivaTuner v2.06.(The premade RivaTuner.cfg is attached to the post)

Does atitool work right on the gts i know on my gt it might be stable and artifact free for 30 mins then run a 3dmark or game and video driver crashes. I found changing it to the older scan way thru options helps sometimes.

Works when scanning my 8800 GTS 640mb for artifacts with ATI Tool. NP here. I don't know about the GT version but, I haven't had the chance to get a GT yet to work with but I will be soon, so this is good to know. Thank you for sharing that experience Bal3Wolf.

Alright im having some problems with getting rivatuner to work for me could anyone here help me i have a SS of it i think it might be the driver or something, can't seem to customize my fan settings and what not.

If you have the ability to overclock it via the "ntune" control panel would that be better? I guess I am a little confused on why you would use Rivatuner over this program. Anyone want to explain it a little?

Ntune is the Evil, stay away from it.
