You wouldn't believe how hard it is to find some of the warranty information for some of these manufacturers. Nothing like hiding something that is important to those who are paying your salaries!

Here's what you can expect in terms of supported based on the manufacturer.

Many of them require you to register your card within 30 days from the date of purchase in order to receive the full length warranty so be sure to check their site for more info. The majority of cards that aren't registered within the 30 day period will only be eligible for a 1 year warranty.

All warranties are for North America only unless otherwise stated. Also I did not go into what is covered under each warranty. With the exception of the big boys (XFX, BFG and EVGA) it's probably safe to say that even overclocking the rest would void it.

I don't make any claims as to the accuracy of this info. It has either been taken from the manufacturer's website or from other resellers such as Newegg.com, NCIX.com, Zipzoomfly.com, etc.

Albatron - 3 year warranty
(labour and parts 1st year/labour and possibly parts 2nd year/labour only 3rd year)

Asus - 3 year parts and labour

BFG - Lifetime parts and labour

Biostar - 1 year parts and labour through resellers
(reseller may have a longer warranty in place and RMA's can be done directly through them)

Chaintech - 1 year parts and labour

Club3D - 2 year parts and labour
(possibly only European warranty)

ECS - 1 year parts and labour

EVGA - Lifetime parts and labour

Forsa - Uknown

Foxconn - 3 year parts and labour

Gainward - 3 year parts and labour

Galaxy aka KFA2 - 1 year parts and labour

Gigabyte - 3 year parts and labour from the date of manufacture, not from the date of purchase.

Inno3D - ?

Leadtek - 3 year parts and labour

MSI - 3 year warranty from the date of manufacture, not from the date of purchase.
(labour and parts 1st year/labour and possibly parts 2nd year/labour only 3rd year)

Palit - 2 year parts and labour

PNY - 3 years parts and labour (Verto products)/5 year parts and labour (XLR8 products)

POV - Warranty differs by reseller and is set at their discretion.

Sparkle - 1 year parts and labour

TwinTech - 3 year parts and labour
(possibly only European warranty)

XFX - Lifetime parts and labour (I was wrong - I guess it is the usual bad ass warranty!)

XpertVision - 2 year parts and labour

Zogis - Unknown

Zotac - 5 year warranty parts and labour

Anyone hear how long the 9800GX2 or 9800GTX or going to be/rumored to be?

I'm going to pick up a Sonata III, and I know the 8800GTS G92 will easily fit in there with a little extra room left over. I figure the 9800GX2 has to be close to that, seeing as how it's almost the same card

The GX2 is approximately the same length as the HD3870x2. The GTX is about as long as an 8800GTX I believe.

Inno3D turns to ZEROtherm for 9600 GT cooling

Quote:
Inno3D's i-Chill line-up has just been updated with the introduction of a GeForce 9600 GT card. Nicknamed 9600GT Hurricane the card has 512 MB of GDDR3 memory, a banal green PCB but a ZEROtherm cooling solution.

As seen below, the Hurricane uses a HC92 VGA cooler which takes up two slots but, courtesy of its 92mm fan, should offer good performance and a lower noise output, when compared to the stock solution. Inno3D didn't stop at changing the cooler though and its has also overclocked that card - 750 MHz for the GPU (650 stock) and 1940 MHz for the memory (1800 stock) while the shader frequency is not listed. Also, the 112 Stream Processors noted on the product's page is simply a type as the G94/9600 GT has 64 working SPs. Still, the gold-plated connectors look pretty good right?

What happened to XFX's black PCB? There goes my color scheme!

Yeah, I know...it's lame to buy something based on color but if the option is there for a good price I generally take it.

So far my attempts to overclock the 9600GT are giving me worse results then stock clocks.

For the most it's scoring around the 10,000 3Dmark06, but yesterday out of the blue it scored 11030 at stock clocks. I then clocked it to 760/1050 and it scored 10776. I'm assuming there are some driver issues.
