Question Should I return my G80 8800GTS SSC for a G92 8800GT?

Title says it all...

Without overclocking the 8800GT, will I get a good, noticeable difference between the G80 8800GTS? BTW, this is the SSC version with 640MB.

I play my stuff at 1280 x 1024 mostly, so no high res...

I realize I can run Crysis with all setting in high, and 2xAA and things run pretty smooth for me... FRAPS says 30-32fps with the 8800GTS...

Will I get better fps with the 8800GT? ... I do like the GTS' better cooling however...

If your only playing at that RES then upgrading will not do much.

If you can do it without spending much money, for sure.

i would do it for sure. there is a big difference in the two cards and you will notice a nice fps increase. so if you can do it for little cash then i say go for it. its a definate upgrade.

Pointless I think. The SSC version has 112SP just like the GT. You'd only get a bit better clocks but lesser memory.

Keep the SSC. As a matter of fact, I'd rather have an SSC than my GT. (I love me some Anti-Aliasing, and high res's.)

The 8800GT should be better in performance than your SSC.

Agreed. There is more than just a die shrinkage that make this card leaps and bounds better than the G80 cards. He11...it rivals a GTX in performance, does your card??

There will be an increase, but it's not worth spending more money.
