you don't build a system like that for games, you build it because you can!

Not quite true. He won't be able to run the LCDs at their native resolution, but so long as he doesn't mind the interpolation, he can set the standard TH2GO resolution of 3840x1024 across those screens. It will still look alright with some AA applied. For more TH2GO information, go to the Surround gaming forum at the WidescreenGamingForum and ask around. There are a couple of guys there that run three 16:10 widescreen displays rather than 5:4 or 4:3 fullscreen displays.

Here is one of my triple screen Crysis videos, running the stress tests: http://www.gametrailers.com/player/usermovies/122875.html
My rig is not as good as his, but it's not too shabby.

I think what this stems down to is people not realising that this world is consists of people with a variety of success in their lives, and of course a varety of wealth.

OBVIOUSLY if you scrapped and saved working in Walmart for a year to buy your rig and budgeting every last detail to get just the right performance to price ratio, you will feel some frustration, however it's important to realise that not everyone is this strapped for cash. If I had the money to do a project like this, I would probably go about it a little differently, but then again, I am a student, and I cannot afford to spend $2000 on 2 CPU's!

Seeing someone building the best of the best should be inspiring, and those of you who budget like hell should view it as a bar to compare your rig to, rather than bash it.

I hope this clears the air, and brings everyone to a common understanding.

I could afford it, doesn't mean I would buy it... Nice rig tho. I tend to try and stay in the mid range due to new technology coming out so quickly now days.

It is an awesome setup tho, I love seeing people build amazing rigs. I just can't justify it with the actual amount of time I spend on my PC. Even tho I'm not broke I still LOVE doing stuff for cheap, and love seeing other people do the same. I see both sides of the fence.

I love saving money....
I love technology...

Whats up with the el cheapo beer tho? Thats the one thing I don't skimp on.
Young's Double Chocolate Stout FTW.

saying 18k is low for this system shouldn't disappoint him. it means he should expect to be able to get alot more out of it when drivers or software are worked out well.

Man that is such a cool rig...I can't wait for it to go up against Crysis Crusher. The color of the WC looks very cool also. Have fun with that rig and please post the 2 rigs against each other.

Thanks for the share...
