wich is better a 8800gtx or 9800gtx

xfx 8800gtx xxx 630mhz / 2ghz
or 9800gtx mind that the 8800gtx is also 40euros cheaper planning to build: q9450 evga 780i 1 videocard 1st then month later in sli and maybe another month later 3sli also will my 700w be ennough for 2sli cards in sli or maybe 3sli, i tought 2 videocards was possible but not 3?

Drivers are still screwy with 9 series so its your choice i'd go 9800GTX though and wait for good drivers

yea i will use it for games and watching movies also bluray ect.
but wich 1 is better performance.? soo 9800 gtx is better then 8800 btw can my 700w hold 2*9800gtx sli

9800GTX is better but I would stick with 768mb 8800GTX as of now especially at that price. A loaded rig with one 8800gtx needs 450W PSU with 30A. Max power of single gtx is 176W so the total is around 800w.

The 9800GTX performs slightly better than the 8800GTX. Personally, I don't think it is enough of a gap to justify the higher price. I think the 8800 will be plenty for that monitor.

I never really pay much attension to stock clocks as they go out the window when you overclock the card. Regardless, I think anything more than the 8800 would be overkill for that rig and monitor.
