well i got hold of some MX-2 paste and decided to replace the as5 on my 7600gt with this stuff, i took the vf-900 off as ive dont on many occations, put it all together and my graphics card seems to have died all ova sudden, no idea how but just doesnt output and video. Tried in my in rig, no video just keep getting beeps, tried it in a second am2 rig which i just made yday and it outputs no video still. Now i got this 7600gt from ebay about 1 1/2 years ago and its a non refrance pcb from a company called "Emtek", now i wanted to know if anyone has heard anything about this company and anyone dealt with them in terms of RMAs and stuff. thanks

Well they have a website, the sticker on the vf-900 which came with it has their website on it its www.emtekinc.com its all in chinese or korean or something and looks like they probably dont have an rma service, and rather than wait like upto a month in the rare event of me actually getting an rma from them, if rather just buy a hd 3850/70, but then i have to friking get a new psu because my current one doesnt have 6 pin pci-e!!..man this is frigin expensive.

A 3850 would be good, seen one around for £69. You shouldn't need a new supply as most good cards come with a molex to 6pin pci adapter and if they don't you can buy one for about £1ish.

^^ i think so..but i just remembered im not going for ati because i just hate the drivers and no persuasion will change that, im probably going to go for an 8800gs as they can be picked up for about £80 and an ocz stealthxtreme 600w for around £40-£50.

thanks for the link but its a little out of my budget plus tahts the g80 core, i think the gs is a g92 core and are quite a bit better than g80..im sure the 8800gs is faster than the 8800gts 320. OMG im soo confused there are waaaaaay too many option out there, this is really doing my head in...8800gs 256,768mb/8800gt 256/512mb/8800gts 320/512/640?!?!?!? i mean why the heck soo many man, i want to get one of these but then dont want to realise i could have got a better card for a tad more.

Don't forget the 9600gt I'm in the same situation as you, I want to upgrade from my 8600 but I know when I buy a new card something better/cheaper will come along.
