Its information like this that is the reaosn I joined. I am just glad i heard about this now while i can still do something. I have only had the card for less then a week at this point so i should be able to get a new powersupply before anything happens. Yeah its not the best looking way of modding it to fit, but all i had was a wire cutter and a butter knife and stove (we had a break in couple week ago, most of tools went into some thiefs van i am sure..)

I can agree there. I started out working on my Dell like you did...and then moved onto building my own
This thread is starting to make me cry . Those pictures are so horrible! The mutilation of the card...the CPU is gonna overheat with the mutilation of the shroud.....I feel SOOO bad for that computer right now .

No offense sir. but you FAIL! you know you could have just taken off the fan shroud and fan and strapped a 80mm fan the the Heatsink. You wouldn't have voided any warranties(since you could put the shroud and stuff back on easily). and since the airflow to the already under cooled Athlon has been compromised, it will most likely overheat. And forget about any service from dell!
there are so many other things I could tell ya about ur phail but... wow... that's pretty much all else i can muster to say...

Here's my suggestion to the OP:
Remove your CPU Heatsink shroud COMPLETELY. The plastic you cut over your CPU. Remove it. Then strap an 80mm or bigger fan to it....be as creative as you want WITHOUT CUTTING MORE THINGS. The video card heatsink is damaged. There's nothing you can do there. SOMEHOW mod AT LEAST an 80mm fan to the rear of the case as an exhaust fan. Be creative with your cutting here...just don't cut anything except the case. And welcome to OCN! I'm sorry for the rude awakening bud, lol. Most of the damage you have done can be fixed fairly cheaply, but you'll have to be creative and take some time on it though. ALSO...get a better power supply. I'd recommend AT LEAST an Antec 500w Earthwatts power supply or better for your setup.
