Lol, why? My fiance (froggy1986 here at OCN), has 2 8600GTS's in SLI...and she runs quite well. She can play Crysis on all medium fluidly...scores just short of 9k in 3dmark...I almost broke 10k with them in my sig rig. I only paid $30 for both cards though .

To be fair to NitroDell, we all have done *at least once* some pretty silly things to our computers.

I remember one day way back when I accidentally flashed the wrong bios onto two motherboards, one right after the other :P

true... I've certaily had my n00b moments aswell. I tried hooking up a 6800GT's power using a stand-by power cable molex connector, while the PSU was plugged in, powered, AND! I tried to put it in upside down.... *sigh* I hate teh smell of burning/melting electronics. Also massive artifacting...

I can agree there....I remember on my first custom build I thought it was okay to solder fan wires with everything still installed in the rig. Long story short, solder dripped on motherboard, when the computer tried to turn on...it caught fire. I cried (wasn't more than 13, lol), my grandparents bought me new stuff, lol.

@NitroDell:
If you've got enough money to do so...I'd recommend you ATTEMPT to just put together a whole new build. New CPU, new motherboard, new RAM, keep your GPU (if its alive still), and probably even a new case.
